512 pixels on using Evernote and Dropbox

Doing the same way. But I also use Marked from Brett Terpstra. And his Marked script.

An alternative way to search your Tumblr posts with help of ifttt

Here is a tip how to search for your posts on Tumblr in Evernote.

My first intention was to make a backup of my Tumblr posts in Evernote. I realized now that this backup gives even more options what you can make with this backup.

I’m a Mac user so this short howto assumes that you are also a Mac user (I think this howto will also work on other platforms with some exception).

First, download the Evernote app from the Mac App Store. Create an Evernote account (I assume that you already a Tumblr account). Then create an ifttt account. After that create a new task based on this recipe which will backup every Tumblr post to Evernote (please note that when you create this task ifttt will ask you to login into Tumblr and Evernote).

Don’t forget to activate the new task. Now when you make a new post on Tumblr ifttt will it backup to Evernote.

And now the tip. When ifttt makes a backup of your every post it tags with the tag “Tumblr” in Evernote. If you go to the Evernote app there will be a “Tumblr” tag under “Notebooks” on the left side. Click on the “Tumblr” tag and you can search now every Tumblr post (please note that ifttt backups only the post that were made after you activated the Tumblr to Evernote task on ifttt). With this tip it is easier to search your Tumblr post instead of going to Tumblr and searching through all your posts.
