Backup your mail

I backup my mail now. I chose to do it with offlineimap. Yes, I’m a command line user ever since I started using Linux (Linux runs now only in VM’s). Offlineimap is in Homebrew (Homebrew is fantastic; the reason I’m using Homebrew is mc; Midnight Commander is sometimes an irreplaceable tool).
I like maildir more than mbox. And do you know how big would be an mbox file with thousands of mails?
